Description
The Role:
The Senior AD will play a pivotal role in leading change management initiatives, fostering active internal communications, and enhancing overall program management. This role requires a strategic thinker with a proven track record in behavior-based communications, strong leadership skills, and the ability to engage effectively with both clients and internal teams.
Primary Responsibilities
Leading change management communication initiatives:
- Demonstrate a proven history of successfully leading communications on change management initiatives.
- Build and enhance internal communications capability and capacity within APCO.
Conceptual understanding of behavior-based communications:
- Utilize a conceptual understanding of behavior-based communications to drive impactful messaging and engagement strategies.
Overall program management
- Take ownership of program management, leading by example with the delivery of specific workstreams and elements.
- Ensure effective coordination and collaboration across teams to achieve program objectives.
High-level client liaison:
- Engage in high-level client liaison, building confidence and trust across all client levels.
- Act as a key point of contact for clients, addressing their needs and concerns with professionalism and expertise.
Leadership in communications design and execution
- Lead, design, and execute leader-led communications and group-wide cascades across multiple operating entities.
- Ensure a consistent communication approach that aligns with organizational objectives.
Day to day advisory
- Conduct employee engagement gap analysis and develop ongoing action plans to improve outcomes.
- Collaborate closely with HR on performance and benefits campaigns, serving as a strategic business partner.
- Optimize channel approach and integrate with creative teams for effective communication delivery.
Strong writing capability and content direction
- Exhibit strong writing capabilities to produce high-quality communication materials.
- Brief, edit, and direct content teams to ensure alignment with communication strategies
Requirements:
- Proven experience in a leadership role within corporate communications, with a focus on change management.
- Strong interpersonal and client management skills, capable of building confidence across all levels
- Experience in conducting employee engagement gap analyses and implementing action plans.
- Strategic business partnering skills, particularly in collaboration with HR on performance and benefits campaigns.
- Ability to optimize communication channels and integrate them with creative teams for cohesive messaging.
- Bachelor’s degree or Equivalent
- A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience
