Our client, grocery retailer, is in search of an experienced Deli Manager to join their team at the Cork City Centre convenience store.

As a vital member of the store's management crew, you will play a pivotal role in achieving the Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) of the deli department. Your responsibilities will include inspiring and motivating a team of deli assistants while ensuring that every customer enjoys an exceptional shopping experience.

Compensation Package:

  • €17 per hour, contingent on prior experience
  • Bonus for reaching KPI targets

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive sales, enhance customer service, and meet departmental KPIs
  • Lead, motivate, and empower the deli team
  • Maintain top-notch deli standards
  • Conduct regular stock assessments to identify potential profit loss issues
  • Ensure the implementation of company policies and procedures

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Previous experience managing a deli in a high-traffic store
  • Strong leadership and people management abilities
  • Effective decision-making skills
  • Exceptional communication and problem-solving skills
  • Proven track record of meeting sales, margin, and waste reduction targets
  • A genuine passion for food and the ability to inspire shoppers
  • Proficiency in merchandising and presenting the deli to the highest standards
  • Effective control of stock rotation to ensure product quality and freshness
  • Management of waste and shrinkage within the department
  • Stay updated on new products and initiatives to drive continuous improvement in the Deli Department
