Position Title: Technical Head
Job Summary:
The Technical Head is a key leadership role responsible for guiding and managing the technical aspects of the organization. This includes developing and implementing technology strategies, leading the technical team, and ensuring the successful execution of technology projects to meet business objectives.
Responsibilities:
Technology Strategy:
Develop and implement a comprehensive technology strategy aligned with the organization's goals and objectives.
- Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies to ensure the organization remains technologically competitive.
Team Leadership:
Lead and manage the technical team, providing guidance, mentorship, and support for professional development.
- Foster a collaborative and innovative work environment to encourage creativity and efficiency.
Project Management:
Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of technology projects on time and within budget.
- Collaborate with other departments to understand and address their technology needs.
System Architecture:
Design and implement robust and scalable systems architecture to support the organization's current and future needs.
- Ensure that technology infrastructure is secure, reliable, and meets compliance standards.
Vendor Management:
Evaluate and manage relationships with technology vendors, ensuring cost-effectiveness and quality of services.
- Negotiate contracts and agreements with external technology partners.
Innovation and Research:
Drive innovation within the organization by identifying and implementing cutting-edge technologies.
- Conduct research to identify opportunities for technological advancements that can benefit the organization.
Cybersecurity:
Develop and implement cybersecurity measures to protect the organization's data and systems.
- Stay informed about the latest cybersecurity threats and ensure proactive measures are in place.
Budget Management:
Develop and manage the technology budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources and cost-effectiveness.
- Monitor and control expenses related to technology projects.
Collaboration:
Collaborate with other executives and department heads to align technology initiatives with overall business strategy.
- Communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders clearly and understandably.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant technical field.
- Proven experience in a senior technical leadership role.
- Strong project management skills and experience overseeing complex technology projects.
- In-depth knowledge of current and emerging technologies.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Experience in budget management and vendor relations.
