Description
An experienced Finishing Foreman is required by one of Irelands leading main contractors within the construction industry to work on a residential/commercial project based in Kilkenny.
As a Finishing Foreman, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the final stages of a residential. You will be responsible for ensuring that all finishing works are completed to the highest standards, meeting both the client's expectations and the company's quality requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Managing and coordinating the activities of subcontractors and tradespeople involved in the finishing phase.
- Conducting regular inspections to ensure compliance with architectural drawings, specifications, and building codes.
- Monitoring and maintaining the project schedule, ensuring timely completion of finishing works.
- Identifying and resolving any quality issues or defects promptly.
- Collaborating with the project manager to address and resolve any challenges that arise during the finishing phase.
- Ensuring a safe working environment and adherence to health and safety regulations.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Finishing Foreman on residential projects.
- Strong knowledge of finishing trades, including carpentry, tiling, painting, and plastering.
- Excellent understanding of construction methods, materials, and building codes.
- Exceptional attention to detail and a keen eye for quality finishes.
- Effective leadership and organizational skills.
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet project deadlines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with subcontractors, tradespeople, and clients.
- Valid construction-related certifications and qualifications are desirable.
Package:
- €55,000 - €65,000 depending on experience
