Supplier Quality Development Engineer

We have an exciting opportunity for experienced engineer who wishes to develop in international environment within central structure. Supplier Quality Development Engineer will report to Senior Manager Global SQD and will work for our Thermal Comfort Systems Division in Europe and Africa.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate quality development activities to meet business requirements.
  • Ensure suppliers adhere to APQP processes to enhance supplied quality to Lear Plants.
  • Development of the Suppliers by following the Lear process for new products in development and the PIP process for significant modifications.
  • Address feasibility issues raised by suppliers promptly.
  • Conduct risk assessments and establish Quality Assurance Plans for components.
  • Keep up to date the Project Parts Lists until PPAP approval for serial production.
  • Resolve supplier development issues within launch phase to SOP + 90 days.
  • Support sourcing process by performing Potential Suppliers Assessments.
  • Represent Supplier Development Group in internal audits.
  • Evaluation and validation of potential new suppliers according to the Commodity strategies and Group procedures.

We expect form you:

  • University degree.
  • Several years of experience performing quality role in manufacturing industry (preferably automotive).
  • Advanced level of English.
  • Experience in performing suppliers’ audits according to VDA 6.3.
  • Very good knowledge of quality tools and process/production control methods such as APQP, Control Plans, FMEA, GD&T, MSA, PPAP, SPC.
  • Solid knowledge in problem solving methodologies and analytical skills using 8D methodology.
  • Computer skills including MS Office.
  • Readiness for business trips (20% - 30%).
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Driving License cat. B.
