About the role:
We are looking for a Key Account Manager to further strengthen our Business Development team in Piraeus, Greece.
As main purpose s/he will own, lead and coordinate the customer relationship for assigned Accounts, continuously identify and develop sales opportunities to capture new and existing customers and be responsible for retaining and growing business for NB, TOCA, PSA and Advisory.
S/he will be part of the business development unit in Piraeus, which consists of a group of 10 very enthusiastic colleagues. Each one is highly engaged with a different professional background, mainly from maritime. High spirit, empowerment, trust, and the ability to embrace change are the main themes for a pleasant and fulfilling working environment.
The unit's role is to be the first point of contact for customers with fleets of various ship types in service or with new-build projects. The position reports to the Area Manager East Mediterranean & Black Sea and is based in Piraeus, Greece.

Your Responsibilities:
- Identify and develop sales opportunities to capture new business and keep track of customer's existing contract portfolio to ensure renewal of agreements.
- Being able to build and strengthen relations with key decision-makers and influencers within the assigned accounts, enabling deep understanding and foresight of their needs.
- Ensure regular sales and marketing relations with the assigned accounts in Greece.
- Create customer-centric Account Plans with impactful goals, strategy and actions that ultimately lead to identifying and securing new business, retaining existing business and ensuring high customer satisfaction.
- Monitor and report sales funnel and the performance of the assigned Accounts.
- Lead and support customer satisfaction review and identify and cascade within DNV any major challenges and concerns related to the DNV interaction with the account. Follow up with the findings and ensure that related improvement activities are executed.
- Cooperate with the technical team to ensure technical support and after-sales service.
- Proactively stay up to date with industry and market trends and best practices as well as DNV products, services and processes to remain relevant towards customers and prospects.
- Support in resolving critical invoicing claims and follow-up critical accounts receivables in close cooperation with the finance team.
- Promote and participate in marketing activities and events.

About you:
Position Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor's degree, preferably in Naval Architecture / Marine Engineering from a Technical University
- Approximately 7 years of experience within the maritime industry, preferably from a class society
- Excellent communication and influencing skills obtained in a sales/customer relationship management environment
- Strong commercial awareness and a customer-centric mindset
- Strong networking experience within an international context
- Experience in managing technical queries from customers
- Self-driven and highly engaged professional
- Inspired by taking ownership and working in a global network
- IT savvy with well-known platforms (Microsoft, etc.)
- Fluent in Greek and English
- Availability to travel
- Military obligations completed (where applicable)
