About the Role
- We have an exciting opportunity to join the Lockheed Martin Team in Schimatari, Greece as a F-16 Maintenance Manager for the Greece F-16 Viper Modification Program.
- Lead a team performing This position requires the ability to inspect for the proper installation of components and harnesses.
- Assist in all phases of the F-16 modification process including, but not limited to, component removal and installation, wire repairs, operational checks, and On-the-Job training of F-16 maintenance processes for other technicians.
- Read and comprehend documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, engineering drawings, blueprints and procedure manuals.
- Use hands to grasp, handle, and/or feel, reach with hands and arms, talk, and hear.
- Frequently stand, walk, stoop, kneel, squat, crawl, twist, and work on or in the aircraft.
- Work in a safe and efficient manner while maintaining a clean, FOD-free work area.
- Properly use, handle and dispose of hazardous materials, and toxic or caustic chemicals per Government regulations and company procedures.
- Lead daily meetings with modification team personnel.
- Identify skill gaps and develop appropriate training plans to ensure talent depth.
- Establish and cultivate relationships with functional leadership to ensure achievement of all program objectives.
Required skills, qualifications and experience
- 10 years of aviation experience
- 3 years of F-16 aviation experience performing organizational level (“O” level), intermediate level (“I” level), or depot level (“D” level)
- Have a working knowledge of electronic and mechanical systems and components on the F-16 aircraft
- F-16 hydraulic, flight control, air data, and communication/navigation system testing and troubleshooting.
- Understanding of electrical wiring diagrams, schematics, and engineering drawings
- Ability to work in a collaborative and team-based environment
- English proficiency equivalent to Greek “B2” level or higher
- Desired skills, qualifications and experience:
- F-16 System diagnostics along with Test Set Troubleshooting
- A strong understanding of the F-16 modification processes
- Perform routine system troubleshooting, installation and repair.
- Ability to train peers
- Effective communication skills: written, oral and listening.
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Access)
