What you’ll do:
The scope of the role is to carry out activities for Vodafone’s IP Fixed Services. These activities include implementation, proactive control, support, technical escalations.
- As a Provisioning Specialist, you will be responsible to:
- Implement Engineering Work Orders in Cisco, Nokia Environment for the provision of IP Services.
- Co-operate with all involved parties for solving problems during service activation.
- Receive directly from VBTS Project Managers the requests for service activation.
- Participate in Technical Review Meeting for escalated issues.
- Elaborate daily network equipment configuration files and upload them in security audit system (DOAT or other).
- Management of Network Monitoring System, Security Management System by adding or removing devices, exporting, and processing data.
Who you are:
- A bachelor’s degree in computer science/Engineering, Electrical
Engineering or equivalent
- English language (Fluent oral and written)
- At least two (3) years’ experience in IP networks
- Very good knowledge of P/C - Windows / Software packages (Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc.) - is essential.
- Desirable certifications include: Cisco (CCNA, CCNP)
- Very good knowledge in Routers, Switches, Firewalls systems
- Very good knowledge of networking protocols (especially routing).
- Working experience in Cisco, Nokia systems
- A logical approach to problem solving and self-motivation are important qualities, team working.
- Good general and technical education with qualifications in electronics, computing and telecommunications,
- At least 3 years’ experience in managing IP services
- Very good organizational, analytical, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to retain knowledge and crossmatch new problems with previous ones.
- A good command of written and spoken English
