Brief description
The position of retail salesperson consists of helping customers to find what they are looking for in the establishments and trying to interest them in buying the merchandise.
Tasks
- Answer questions regarding the store and its merchandise
- Compute sales prices, total purchases and receive the process cash or credit card payment
- Greet customers and ascertain what each customer wants or needs
- Maintain knowledge of current sales and promotions, policies regarding payment and exchanges, and the security practices
- Can use the cashier system, and maintain records related to sales
- Recommend, select, and help locate or obtain merchandise based on customer needs and desires-Open up new markets and develop new customers-Assist for the store daily maintenance
Qualifications and requirements
- Pleasant personality with the ability to work independently.
- Strong leadership, energetic, organized and self-motivated.Able to work shifts, weekends and public holidays
- Ability to work directly with public, to convince people to buy merchandises, and to develop constructive and cooperative working relationships with potential customers and markets.
