Assistant Laundry Manager

Position Statement

The Assistant Laundry Manager & Public Area manages laundry operations and machinery facilities in line with Hilton policies, procedures and coordinates all public area activities, in line with Hilton and the hotel policies and procedures. You will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

  • Manage laundry training, assign work, and monitor the quality and quantity of the laundry.
  • Responsible for the operation of the laundry department during your shift.
  • Ensure that all items are laundered and dry-cleaned to the highest standard achievable and returned to guests or staff in immaculate condition.
  • Inspect the entire area, ensuring productive methods and procedures are used.
  • Check from time to time all public areas and personnel at work.
  • Knowledgeable of all hotel public areas, coordinating with other line department managers in scheduling general cleaning and maintenance of function rooms, lobbies, back-of-house areas.
  • Assist in the planned maintenance of room carpets and marble in the guestrooms.
  • Report any damage of carpet or furniture, etc. for immediate repairs and follow through to completion.
  • Check equipment to ensure that they are functional, clean and properly stored.
