Job Title: Health Care Assistant

Status: Permanent, Full Time Contract

Location: Rush, County Dublin

JOB DESCRIPTION

We are recruiting Health Care Assistants to help support a person with an intellectual disability and/or Autism to enjoy an ordinary life while being supported and empowered so that they can live their life to the fullest while in a residential setting.

Duties

  • Sufficient professional knowledge to carry out the duties and responsibilities of the role.
  • Ensure compliance with record keeping is in line with legislation and HIQA requirements.
  • Work directly with individuals and completing administrative tasks relating to the day-to-day running of the house.
  • Be highly organised, have excellent report writing and IT and time management skills.
  • The capacity to plan and manage resources in an effective and resourceful manner.
  • Flexibility and openness to change
  • FETAC/QQI level 5 Major Award in Healthcare Support/Health Service Skills, or equivalent.
  • Three year’s experience supporting children/adults with intellectual disabilities and/or autism.
  • Applicants must have relevant experience in a Team Leader role or similar.
  • Experience in a HIQA regulation environment and supporting children/adults with intellectual disabilities
  • Natural Leadership qualities and excellent organisational and communication skills
  • Strong knowledge of HIQA Standards.
  • Demonstrate evidence of continuous professional development
  • Full Clean Driving License
