Position Overview:
My client is a thriving company with over 250+ staff, specializing in providing a wide range of equipment and machinery for hire. They are currently seeking a motivated and experienced Hire Fitter - Mechanic to join their team in Clondalkin. If you have a minimum of 2 years' experience in a busy hire center environment and possess knowledge of petrol, diesel, electrical small tools, and heavy plant equipment, we want to hear from you. There are no actual qualifications required for this role but suitable applicants must have strong mechanical knowledge and a keen interest in mechanics.
Key Responsibilities:
- Repair and service our extensive hire fleet, ensuring equipment is in excellent working condition.
- Perform preventative maintenance on a variety of small tools and heavy plant machinery.
- Conduct Pat testing of all electrical small tools, adhering to safety regulations.
- Maintain accurate and organized records of maintenance and repairs.
- Assist in the day-to-day running of the hire department, collaborating with colleagues.
- Perform pre-hire and off-hire checks on small tools and plant equipment.
Qualifications and Experience:
- At least a minimum 2 years of experience in a busy hire center company is essential
- Good knowledge of petrol, diesel, electrical small tools, and heavy plant machinery.
- Proficiency in Pat testing and preventative maintenance.
- Record Keeping.
- Assisting in the day to day running of the hire department.
- Pre hire and off hire checks on small tool and plant.
Working Hours:
- Monday to Friday with either two shifts 7:00 am - 4:00 pm or 8:00 am - 5:00 pm (40 hours per week).
- There will be a requirement in this role to work 2 out of every 4 Saturdays for a half day (12:30pm finish) which will be paid at overtime rates of time and a half
The pay frequency on this role is weekly
