The organisation is an IT Consultancy whose work helps provide small to medium enterprises with their IT infrastructure. They work with a range of clients with differing needs and like to provide a real personal touch to the people they work with. The organisation are based in Porirua, Wellington, so if working outside the city is more of an appeal, this may be an opportunity for you!
Your new role
As a Helpdesk Technician, your primary responsibility will be to monitor and manage our customers' IT systems on a day-to-day basis. You will be the first point of contact for customer requests, logging jobs into our system, and assigning them to the appropriate engineers. Additionally, you will provide first-line telephone and remote support, ensuring that all customer queries are responded to within agreed timeframes.
What you'll need to succeed
- Strong stakeholder management, both internally and externally
- Able to handle stressful situations
- A background or certification in Microsoft would be a positive.
- Previous customer service / technical service background
