The Position:
An exciting job opportunity is now open as a Technical Services Veterinarian ANZ - Ruminant in our Animal Health business. This position is a permanent, full-time role based in New Zealand and will report directly to the NZ Business Segment Manager.
Tasks & Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the marketing team to develop brand objectives and aligned technical plans, develop proposals / protocols for submission for internal review to support new science and technical leadership in related areas.
- The Vet Tech Lead is also responsible for writing or managing all technical copy and achieving approval of veterinary technical materials with references etc. through literature approval workflow systems.
- Develop and maintain a high value relationship and communication network with veterinarians and key stakeholders within territory and maintain a high value relationship and communication network with key industry influencers / thought leaders, researchers and global stakeholders where appropriate.
- Develop and maintain high quality technical support for key and direct accounts of the business by providing support for technical projects with other third parties etc.
- Support and train Key Account Managers in dealing with technical-related enquiries, complaints and adverse events, key account and key influencer technical engagement plans; product knowledge, disease and technical information, including administration and administering of product and technical benefits to be utilized to positively influence customer/sales.
- Develop technical programs / initiatives, including study proposals, in alignment with the brand plans and / or strategic technical direction of the business.
- Collate all relevant scientific publications local/international to maintain an on-line local technical library for access of Key Account Managers and leverage these documents with concise messaging for both sales and marketing audiences.
- Develop and maintain high quality veterinary technical engagement for key customers/influencers of the business, including industry advisory/technical groups.
- Provide veterinary assistance in dealing with technical-related enquiries, complaints and adverse events, including administration of products where relevant to ensure technical benefits are utilized to positively influence customer/sales.
- Support Key Account Managers in territory by developing and conducting structured technical discussions and regional meetings to technically influence customers on the benefits of BIAH products and services.
Requirements:
- Tertiary qualification in veterinary science
- Current VCNZ Practicing Certificate
- Previous experience in livestock animal health marketing and / or sales experience is highly regarded
- Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite of products
