We are looking for a qualified Clinician to support (taiohi) youth and their families in the Hauraki region.

Real | Mō mātou

We provide health and wellbeing services for taiohi aged between 12 to 24. We believe in the importance of community, connection and relationships - and in the ability of young people to shape their own futures.

The Whetū Marewa (Rising Star) services aims to build the confidence, resilience & wellbeing of taiohi (young people) with mental health and addiction related issues by enabling access to a range of supported interventions. Whetū Marewa provides mobile support in a community out-reach approach by offering a Registered Health Professional-led school and community-based clinics.

The Role | Mō tēnei tūranga mahi

We are looking for a New Zealand Registered Health Professional with clinical expertise. You will be drawing on your experience in working with young people, and expertise from a range of treatment modalities to provide therapeutic interventions in supporting young people to build confidence, resilience and wellbeing.

You | Mōu

We would expect the successful applicant to have advanced skills in working collaboratively with other providers to provide support in the community including;

  • A current New Zealand Health registration.
  • Experience in working with young people and an understanding of trauma-informed care.
  • Tertiary Health qualification in social work, occupational therapy or nursing and registration with professional body.
  • A current full New Zealand driver's licence.
  • A current New Zealand first aid certificate or be prepared to obtain one.
  • An understanding of what you need for your own wellbeing.
  • Knowledge of, and demonstrable commitment to, the principles of the Te Tiriti o Waitangi
