Te wero - The Challenge
Far North Waters are looking for a Design Engineer to drive engineering solutions to the 3 waters forward works plan. This position reports to the Planning & Design Team Leader, is based 4 days per week in our Kaikohe offices.
I ā koe - About you
We’re looking for someone who brings:
- Bachelor of Engineering or equivalent engineering qualification.
- Atleast five years experience in water services (drinking water, wastewater, stormwater).
- You will demonstrate knowledge of, or a willingness to gain an understanding of Te Ao Māori and promote tikanga and Te Reo Māori. You will also have knowledge of, or a willingness to gain an appreciation of Te Tiriti o Waitangi obligations.
- Professional membership of Engineering New Zealand or appropriate organisation is preferred.
- Knowledge of Public Works and Resource Management Acts are an advantage.
- Knowledge of New Zealand Local Government legislation, practices and standards is desired.
