Mental Health Therapist

Responsibilities:
Client Assessment:

  • Conduct thorough assessments to understand clients' emotional, psychological, and behavioral needs.
  • Utilize art-based techniques to identify and address underlying issues affecting mental health.

Individual and Group Therapy Sessions:

  • Facilitate art therapy sessions for individuals and groups, tailoring approaches to meet the unique needs of each participant.
  • Foster a safe and supportive environment for clients to express themselves through various art modalities.

Treatment Planning:

  • Develop and implement individualized art therapy treatment plans based on client assessments and therapeutic goals.
  • Collaborate with other members of the interdisciplinary team to ensure holistic care.

Progress Monitoring:

  • Regularly assess and document clients' progress during art therapy sessions.
  • Adjust treatment plans as needed, incorporating feedback from clients and team members.

Client Empowerment:

  • Empower clients to explore and understand their emotions through artistic expression.
  • Provide guidance on using art as a tool for self-reflection and personal growth.

Documentation and Reporting:

  • Maintain accurate and confidential client records, documenting session details, progress notes, and any relevant information.
  • Prepare reports and updates for clients and interdisciplinary team members as required.

Community Engagement:

  • Collaborate with community organizations, schools, or support groups to promote the benefits of art therapy.
  • Conduct workshops or outreach programs to raise awareness of art therapy services.

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in Art Therapy or a related field.
  • Registered and licensed Art Therapist or a related.
  • Proven experience in providing art therapy in individual and group settings.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
  • Compassionate, empathetic, and culturally sensitive approach.

Salary: RM4,500.00 - RM6,000.00 per month

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday

Supplemental pay types:
