He angitūtanga: The opportunity
The Contamination, Air and Noise team is part of the Specialist Unit in the Resource Consents Department. This multidisciplinary team provides specialist advice on a wide range of development projects, from earthworks and housing additions to major subdivisions and nationally significant infrastructure projects. We cover the entire Auckland region and are passionate about preventing and minimising environmental and health effects whilst promoting sustainable development in a fast-growing city. The team is based in the CBD but offers flexible working arrangements, including working from home.

What you’ll need to succeed:
- A tertiary qualification in science, environmental science, resource management, environmental health or equivalent
- Proven experience in managing, consenting, or providing specialist advice regarding air quality
- Prior involvement with noise and / or contaminated land management would be an advantage
- Experience and understanding of relevant sections of the Resource Management Act and local and national standards and policies
- A current full NZ driver’s licence

Salary range $100,000 to $125,000 (depending on skillset and experience).
