Logistics Management Specialist

Duties:

  • Receives, reviews, accounts for, approves, and accepts accountability of all property and accountability documents.
  • Coordinates and conducts property accountability and asset visibility for all property transactions.
  • Coordinates with Brigade (BDE) and Battalion (BN) level Property Book Officers (PBOs) the turn-in and staging of property identified for Automated Reset Induction (ARI) using the Automated RESET Management Tool (ARMT).
  • Provides resolutions to problems relating to accountability and management of equipment received for processing and transportation of equipment.
  • Exercises responsibility and oversees all matters as granted by the Property Accountable Officer and Property Book Officers (PBO) for property accountability and supply management, while accepting equipment at the support Forward Operating Bases.
  • Manages development of procedural changes to meet changing conditions in program requirements related to specific missions.
  • Establishes priorities and furnishes advice and assistance, as required, to resolve problems on the ground.
  • Provides guidance on new or revised policies and other program objectives.

  • One year trial/probationary period may be required.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance.
  • Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration.
  • You will be required to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship.
  • Applicants must comply with the Exceptional Family Member Program requirements as outlined in the DoD Instruction 1315.19.
  • This position is designated as Emergency Essential (EE) to support the Command's mobilization and wartime mission during periods of increasing tension and mobilization.
  • Must sign DD Form 2365 (DoD Civilian Employee Overseas Emergency Position Agreement).
  • Must be able to successfully complete a CENTCOM MOD-17 compliant deployment physical exam which includes medical, dental, and behavioral health fitness standards. Immunization screening is required.
  • You may be required to process through the CONUS Replacement Center (CRC) in Camp Atterbury, IN prior to deployment. The CRC is the final authority for declaring an individual deployable.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid U.S. Government Passport.
  • Position may be filled as a Term Appointment NTE 13 Months. Term appointments may be extended up to eight (8) years. With DoD approval, Term appointments may be extended beyond eight (8) years.

  • Specialized Experience: To qualify, your resume must describe at least one year of experience which prepared you to do the work in this job. Specialized experience is defined as: 1) Experience conducting property accountability and asset visibility for property transactions worldwide;
  • 2) Experience identifying problems related to accountability and management of equipment received for processing and transportation;
  • AND 3) Experience tracking property transactions utilizing file maintenance and document control methods, This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade in the federal service (GS-11).

Education:
Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirements using experience alone-no substitution of education for experience is permitted.

  • U.S. citizens overseas under ordinarily resident status are not eligible for appointment under the Status of Forces Agreement.
  • If an employee brings a child to an overseas location and that child is entitled to attend a DoD school on a space-required basis in accordance with DoDEA Regulation 1342.13, the DoDEA and the Military Department responsible for providing related services will ensure that the child, if eligible for special education, receives a free appropriate public education, including related services pursuant to DoDI 1342.12 and DoDM 1342.12.
  • If an employee brings an infant or toddler (up to 3 years of age) to an overseas location, and that infant or toddler, but for the child's age, is entitled to attend the DoDEA on a space-required basis in accordance with DoDEA Regulation 1342.13, then the Military Department responsible for EIS will provide the infant or toddler with the required EIS in accordance with the eligibility criteria consistent with DoDI 1342.12 and DoDM 1342.12.
  • Employees (and family members) who require medical or dental care in the overseas location will
