System Administrator (DevOps)

Lithium Digital, a leading blockchain solutions provider located in Lagos, Nigeria, is on the lookout for a seasoned System Administrator with a specialized focus on blockchain technology. We're seeking an individual who is not just adept in traditional system administration but also brings to the table a profound understanding of blockchain infrastructures. This role is crucial for someone ready to dive deep into innovative blockchain solutions, ensuring our systems are robust, secure, and seamlessly integrated.

Responsibilities:

• Administer and manage Linux-based systems, ensuring high availability, performance, and security.
• Implement, manage, and monitor infrastructure using Terraform, ensuring scalable and automated cloud environments.
• Utilize Prometheus for comprehensive monitoring and alerting, ensuring proactive handling of potential issues.
• Support blockchain network infrastructure, including nodes and associated technologies, to ensure seamless operations.
• Collaborate closely with the development team to understand backend needs, facilitating efficient deployment and integration of blockchain solutions.
• Lead the deployment of updates and patches, minimizing downtime and ensuring the security of systems.
• Ensure robust security protocols and practices are in place to protect sensitive data and systems.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex system issues with a focus on minimizing impact and preventing recurrence.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Solid experience in Linux system administration and command-line tools.
• Proficiency with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools, specifically Terraform.
• Experience with monitoring tools, especially Prometheus, and an understanding of metrics collection and alerting mechanisms.
• Familiarity with blockchain technology, including node setup and maintenance.
• Strong background in network security, including firewall configuration, intrusion detection systems, and secure system architecture.
• Effective problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative spirit, capable of working closely with cross-functional teams.

Preferred:

• Direct experience with blockchain networks and smart contract deployment.
• Understanding of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
• Active contributions to relevant open-source projects or a strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in system administration and blockchain technologies.

Salary: ₦450,000.00 - ₦600,000.00 per month
