He angitūtanga: The opportunity

The aim of the Performing Arts programme is to make an impact on the wider arts community and bring a sense of "wow factor" to the centre, building towards a strong and loyal audience following and a long-term reputation. As a casual Performing Arts Staff, you will be responsible for welcoming the audience, taking tickets, seating the audience, and covering for reception/box office. You will also be ensuring safe practice procedures and usage of the performing arts facilities by both users and staff.

This is a casual role and so you will be working hours as and when necessary, dependant on the programme’s needs. This role is based in Mangere Arts Centre.

He kōrero mōu: About you

To be successful, you will be an excellent communicator, team player, with customer service and organisation skills and the ability to take direction and work under pressure. The position holder's workflow will be dependent on theatre scheduling, so a high degree of flexibility and availability to work during evening hours and weekend is essential. You will need to be available for nights, evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
