- The Head of People & Development Ireland is an integral part of the People & Development team, they are a true partner to the business and are responsible for the transformational initiatives across Ireland and correspondingly the embedding of processes required to foster and create a dynamic, coherent and stable environment. They play a critical role in driving operational improvements across all areas of the organization. At its core, this role acts as an internal consultant, being the country line escalation point on a range of high-priority People & Development operational matters and transformation projects to implement effective, scalable solutions._
- Employee Relations in Ireland:
- Act as the country lead for all local P&D teams on employee relations matters across 400 people.
- Act as a point of escalation and provide guidance on grievances, disputes, and disciplinary matters.
- Develop and maintain a positive and inclusive workplace culture, leveraging MI and addressing trends
- Ensure compliance with labor laws, best practices and regulations.
- Provide guidance and input on Groups approach to business unit restructures, workforce planning and succession planning.
- In conjunction with the L&D strategy of developing our people managers review the need of a dedicated ER function that works intuitively with the HR Operations team.
- Act as a conduit to the CoE areas of the people team, specifically Learning and Development and the centralized Recruitment team.
- Employee Development and Training
- Support the Group employee development and training program.
- Help identify skill gaps and develop plans to address them.
- Foster a culture of continuous learning and development.
- Initiate core components of a talent development strategy with a focus on talent identification, succession planning and HiPo development opportunities.
- Performance Management
- Implement the group performance management framework and feed into its evolution under the new HR system.
- Ensure that the basis of embedding culture and business goals are commercially focused and are owned and demonstrated by leadership at all levels.
- Work with the Group P&D teams to execute this framework and provide supporting materials/governance to how they best provide guidance to managers on performance feedback, coaching, and improvement plans.
- Monitor and improve group performance metrics.
- Human Resources Technology
- Support in the implementation and embedding of the new HR technology solution.
- Analyze data analytics to create a cadence of regular group reporting and KPI monitoring.
- Use data analytics in decision making and to measure the effectiveness transformational activities.
- Team Management and Development
- Support the CPO in recruiting, training, and developing a high-performing human capital team.
- Set clear performance expectations and provide ongoing feedback and coaching.
- Management
- Be the point of escalation for country P&D team members.
- Foster a positive work environment that encourages innovation, collaboration, and employee well-being.
- Support change management efforts as the company evolves.
- Demonstrates a willingness to take on new tasks with a general attitude that no task is too small, impossible, or cannot be improved.
- Work autonomously while ensuring CPO expectations are readily met and exceeded.
- Act as a Waystone ambassador at external events, with clients etc.
- Transformation
- Lead and contribute on P&D elements of all transformation projects.
- Work closely with the Group Transformation team to identify process improvement opportunities, technology solutions and scalable P&D solutions.
- Work cohesively on cross group engagement initiatives and represent the P&D function.
- Spearhead / mentor productivity & quality improvement projects. Develop and manage the cost budget of each project
