The objective of this position is to manage security affairs for a designated client within the Dublin Business, encompassing supervision of security aspects across DB Schenker sites, internal and external clients, subcontractors, and governmental bodies. It involves the creation and enforcement of security protocols and policies consistent with regional standards, as well as alignment with the broader DB Schenker and Global Security framework.

What You Will Be Doing?

  • Ensure adherence to Facilities and Transport Security requirements within the business.
  • Maintain efficient and operational security systems across all sites, collaborating closely with designated Local Site Security Officers (LSSOs) and ensuring their continuous presence.
  • Participate in site audits and disseminate audit findings.
  • Conduct investigations for significant incidents, cargo loss prevention initiatives, or specific projects as instructed.
  • Compile and distribute weekly reports detailing security events and emerging trends.
  • Enforce compliance with Customer and TAPA internal DB Schenker security standards.
  • Collaborate with Security Contracts team to oversee and uphold all security Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
  • Develop security plans for new buildings and oversee upgrades for existing facilities.
  • Liaise with Real Estate and Facilities Teams regarding new site development, upgrades, and validation of new security systems.
  • Supervise and manage the onsite Guard force.

About You

  • Extensive background in security or a related academic field.
  • Prior experience in overseeing security across multiple sites.
  • Familiarity with security protocols, procedures, and systems.
  • Understanding of applicable security regulations and laws.
  • Knowledge of freight forwarding operations in Land/Road, Air, or Ocean Freight is beneficial.
  • Proficiency in technical security systems such as CCTV, alarms, and access control.
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency in MS Office.
  • Analytical aptitude with the ability to conduct investigations.
