The Global Marine Seastock Bid Analyst is responsible for driving the execution around a range of commercially focused bidding initiatives to improve the professionalism, consistency, accuracy, and win and retention rate of key account business/bids/tenders for the Global Marine Seastock Segment. Expert knowledge, utilization, and support of the Seastock Quotation Manager system will be key for executing data driven growth dashboards. This role will assume responsibility, under the direction of the Global Seastock Segment Director, for supporting Global Platform initiatives and the Key Account Team. This role will focus on supporting tender submissions, and secondarily on creating data analytics and cadence to drive sales, identifying and executing process improvements, using data to identify competitive best practices to scale to other customers, and managing the strategic business requirements for IT bidding tools.

  • Commercial Bidding Excellence
  • Accountable for executing and/or overseeing global key account tenders and renewals.
  • Responsible for improving the professionalism, timeliness, consistency, and accuracy of new key account tenders and renewals.
  • Provide commercial pricing recommendations and support associated margin calculations for new tenders and contract renewals.
  • Support Sales with alignment of new tenders and renewals related to competitive price levels, incentive structures, and escalation terms.
  • Improve customer onboarding checklist/process and transition plan.
  • Use data to identify best practices for scaling to additional customers.
  • The role will also be responsible for leading competitor price intelligence gathering and benchmarking.- Commercial analytics upgrade
  • Increase win rate by managing and improving data mining capabilities to identify opportunities that drive market volume growth or customer share growth.
  • Support development and automation of measurable and impactful metrics to ensure global pricing aligns to the Platform growth strategy. This includes periodic reviews with key global stakeholders. (ie, global ASP and margin reporting)- Manage the Seastock Global Price List
  • Provide recommendations for product and price positioning based on market and competitor research, bid win/loss data, and historical sales.
  • Accountable to drive the commercial aspects of the annual update process.
  • Drive commercial adoption of the Global Price List.- Bidding IT Systems Support
  • Provide Quotation Manager sales support and lead projects to enhance the tool’s sales effectiveness and activity reporting related to pipeline.Skills and competencies
  • Bachelors degree, business, data analytics, engineering, or chemistry required.
  • 3-5 years business or data analytics experience.
  • Ability to interact directly with a wide variety of departments globally.
  • Strong demonstrated process development and process management skills.
  • Strong IT skills; Strong understanding of SAP, PBI, Excel systems beneficial.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and priorities at one time.
  • Demonstrates creative and critical thinking skills to improve status quo.
  • Ability to translate/quantify data and other information and make reliable decisions on viable business prospect identification.
  • Professional and positive approach, self-motivated, team player, dynamic, creative and ability to work on own initiative.
  • Demonstrates strong verbal and written communication skills including the ability to clearly present recommendations and ideas to summarize complex issues.
  • Organizational skills and attention to detail.
