Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify potential risks and opportunities associated with the project, including technical, financial, operational, environmental, and regulatory risks.
  • Evaluate the likelihood and potential impact of identified risks on project objectives, utilizing quantitative and qualitative risk assessment techniques.
  • Develop comprehensive risk mitigation strategies and action plans to minimize the impact of identified risks on project performance.
  • Implement risk monitoring and control mechanisms to track the status of identified risks, assess their effectiveness, and implement corrective actions as necessary.
  • Engage with project stakeholders, including clients, contractors, regulatory agencies, and internal teams, to communicate risk management strategies, solicit input, and address concerns.
  • Prepare regular reports and presentations on the status of project risks, including trends, emerging risks, and mitigation efforts, for presentation to project leadership and stakeholders.
  • Assess the impact of changes to project scope, schedule, or budget on existing risk management strategies, and adjust plans accordingly to maintain project objectives.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to the project risk management team, fostering a culture of proactive risk identification, assessment, and mitigation.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, business administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 15 years of experience in project risk management, with a proven track record of successfully managing risks on large-scale infrastructure construction projects with minimum 8yrs+ experience in GCC (KSA experience ideally).
  • Strong knowledge of risk management principles, methodologies, and tools, including but not limited to Monte Carlo simulation, decision tree analysis, and risk registers.
  • Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to assess complex situations, identify key risks, and develop effective mitigation strategies.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
