Sr DevOps Engineer/ Cloud (Hybrid)

SGF Global is looking for a Sr DevOps Engineer/ Cloud, for IT enterprise in Heredia, Costa Rica.

Requirements:

  • Bachelors in Computer Science or equivalent work experience
  • 4-6 years of experience
  • Advanced Linux yum/dnf RedHat rpm package manager hands-on experience with solving package conflicts.
  • Strongly desired: hands-on with Jenkins Kubernetes Plugin and Jenkins Kubernetes Clouds, configuring custom Jenkins Agents in Containers.
  • Advanced Linux admin experience including files/folders permissions, users/groups, creating and managing system services, Bash scripting.
  • Basic Java Language knowledge, to be able to understand the code and to be able to update/write Java code.
  • Experience using Eclipse or IntelliJ Idea, experience building jar artefacts.

  • Advanced skills in Docker with an emphasis on:

  • Advanced experience with RedHat Linux rpm package manager with emphasis on package conflict resolution

  • Advanced Linux admin experience including files/folders permissions, users/groups, creating and managing system services, Bash scripting.
  • Basic Java Language knowledge, to be able to understand the code and to be able to update/write Java code.
  • Experience using Eclipse or IntelliJ Idea, experience building jar artefacts.
  • Optional but strongly desired: hands-on with Jenkins Shared Libraries, Jenkins Pipelines written in Groovy code. (NOT simple Jenkins FreeStyle jobs) (Nice to Have)
  • Optional but desired: hands-on with setting up Selenium Grid Hub and multiple Selenium grid Nodes. (Nice to Have)
  • Optional but desired: hands-on with testing frameworks like TestNG. (Nice to Have)
  • Optional:Experience with Openshift as a framework for container orchestration (Nice to Have)
  • English C1

Job Duties:

  • Creating complex Dockerfiles (500+ Lines of code)
  • Building and deploying Docker images for external teams
  • Maintaining and updating Docker repositories in an Agile fashion
  • Hands-on experience with Docker and experience building Images from complex Dockerfiles (500+ Lines of code)
  • Hands-on experience with OpenShift including: yaml deployments, Services, Routes, managing Pods.
