Purpose of Job
The role is the Site Process Focal Point (SPFP)/ Coach for the Shell Environment & Asset Management System (SEAM) Maintenance Execution (PME), Manage Asset Care (MAC) work processes and the Materials aspects of the Manage Supply Chain Process. The incumbent shall coach staff and maintenance Service Contractor resources on the work process requirements, skills and behaviors required to execute the respective work processes.
- Manage all piping, static equipment and pipelines integrity assurance activities and deliverables for Shell Operated Venture (SOV) in Oman.
- Support Operations and Maintenance process owners to embed Asset Integrity and Process Safety requirements for the operated assets.
- Maintain and report reliability through the appropriate reliability management tools to facilitate the implementation of the plant reliability management systems within maintenance, engineering, operations and technology departments.
- Drive the implementation of reliability and continuous improvement programs in areas of incident investigations.
Specific Challenges
- Support the implementation of a planned activity execution culture in the field & concession.
- Accountable for making the mini campaign maintenance approach work in the field.
- Play a key role in the Implementation of SEAM practices and Shell’s global maintenance vision.
Accountabilities
- HSSE: act at all times in accordance with the SDO Health, Safety and Environment procedures and proactively manage all maintenance activities accordingly. Ensure competence of Maintenance Contractors and sub-contractors is in compliance with HSSE requirements.
- SEAM: responsible for the effective implementation and delivery of the Perform Maintenance Execution (PME), Manage Threats and Opportunities (MTO), Manage Asset Care (MAC) and Manage Supply Chain (MSC) processes. This includes compliance to the SEAM work processes mentioned above, measuring and monitoring performance metrics, work process management and assurance, and benchmarking to drive continuous improvement to deliver business results.
- Provide piping, static equipment and pipelines day-to-day technical support to Operations and Maintenance teams.
- Responsible for managing the integrity of Shell Operated Venture assets in Oman.
- Develop, assess and ensure implementation of assurance activities and care plans related to piping, static equipment and pipelines.
- Define inspection scope of work, plan for execution and monitor the contractor inspectors’ performance in delivering inspection scope.
- Lead risk-based inspection (RBI) studies for new installations and review existing RBI analysis in collaboration with the asset and P&T teams.
- Focal point for SDO Integrity Management System (IMS) for pressure equipment and pipelines and accountable for ensuring up to date status of all installed facilities in the concession.
- Focal point for SDO Surface Main Threats & Opportunities.
- Provide static equipment and piping technical expertise while troubleshooting and carrying out root cause analysis for any equipment failures.
- Drive and sustain the implementation of pressure equipment integrity processes in line with Shell and Industry pressure equipment integrity management requirements.
- Work closely with Materials and Corrosion TAs and inspectors to identify corrosion threats, monitor equipment condition, analyze inspection data, and make recommendations to ensure safe operation of pressure equipment and pipelines.
- Provide technical support to the HEMP process by participation in HAZIDs, HAZOPs, SAFOPs, Bowties and QRAs.
- Monitor and assess the impact of integrity operating windows (IOWs) exceedances in collaboration with the Materials and Corrosion TAs.
- Review, assess and approve inspection deferral requests following Shell adopted deferral process.
- Support in identification of spare parts and consumables required for reliable operation of static equipment and systems.
- Seek advice and technical support from other TAs in areas of responsibility, namely mechanical static, materials & corrosion, inspection, pipelines and MRTA.
- Responsible for ensuring Asset Integrity - Process Safety Management (AI-PSM) compliance in Design and Operate phase.
- Accountable for ensuring that deviations from industry standards and Shell DEPs include the appropriate details of risk assessment, independent review, and that mitigations are in place to reduce risk to ALARP.
- Identify, evaluate and implement new equipment technologies, digitalization and concepts for existing production installations and/or new projects to drive efficiency, improvements and top quartile performance.
- Manages the relation with multiple (groups of) internal and external stakeholders on tactical level. Scale and severity of consequences if things go wrong are limited, involving some stakeholder management.
What we need from You
- Minimum bachelor’s degree qualification from a recognized institution in Mec
