Planning Engineer
We are currently seeking a skilled Planning Engineer with proficiency in Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project to join our team for an ambitious town planning project involving the development of 1000 villas. As a Planning Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the project's success by effectively managing schedules, resources, and budgets in collaboration with main contractors and engineering consulting companies.
Responsibilities:
- Project Scheduling: Utilize Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project to develop comprehensive project schedules, encompassing all phases of the town planning project from initiation to completion.
- Resource Allocation: Efficiently allocate resources, including manpower, equipment, and materials, to optimize project productivity and minimize delays.
- Cost Control: Collaborate with the cost engineering team to monitor project costs, identify variances, and implement corrective measures to ensure adherence to budgetary constraints.
- Risk Management: Conduct risk assessments to identify potential schedule disruptions and develop mitigation strategies to minimize their impact on project timelines.
- Progress Monitoring: Regularly monitor project progress against established schedules, identifying deviations and proactively addressing any delays or bottlenecks.
- Stakeholder Communication: Maintain open communication channels with stakeholders, providing regular updates on project schedules, milestones, and performance metrics.
- Documentation: Ensure accurate and timely documentation of project schedules, progress reports, and other relevant records to support project decision-making and compliance requirements.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Planning Engineer, preferably in large-scale town planning projects or residential construction.
- Proficiency in Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project for project scheduling and resource management.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to anticipate and mitigate project risks effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Prior experience working with main contractors or engineering consulting companies is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with industry standards and best practices in project planning and management.
