We are seeking a diligent and hardworking Commis Chef ( II/III). Responsible for preparing various food items according to the provided recipe or per instructions of the Sous Chef.

  • Assist and support Senior Chef(s) in the preparation of different food in your section.
  • Responsible for the preparation and cooking dishes in your section
  • Follow the instructions or recommendations of the immediate superior or supervisor.
  • Maintain high quality and proper presentation of food to exceed the set standards.
  • Ensure that all mise en place ingredients per section is adequate and has on stock.
  • Checks all mise en places in quality and quantity.
  • Checks standards as per recipe sheet.
  • Helps resolved conflict or kitchen issues within your section/area.
  • Ensure that your section (working areas) is always kept clean.
  • Ensures minimum waste, maximizing resources, hence assuring overall department profitability.
  • To ensure any shortages are properly communicated to Senior Chefs
  • Check all equipment is in good working condition
  • Check all utensils and supplies are all prepared, clean and in order.
  • Ensure strict health and hygiene standards
