PAK'nSAVE Hastings has an exciting opportunity within their Dry Goods Leadership team as a Dry Goods Assistant Manager (2IC)! A dynamic and fast paced role, responsible for operations of Grocery, Chilled/Frozens, Trolleys and Liquor sections. This role exists essentially to ensure these areas are fully stocked and presentable, to make sure our loyal customers receive the best shopping experience in the Bay!
The days and hours are as follows:
- Sunday to Thursday 11.30am-9.00pm
Under the direction of the Dry Goods Manager, this position will see you responsible for ensuring there is full range of products available for our customers to shop, ensuring price integrity with all Grocery, Chilled, Frozen and Liquor lines, training of new staff members and helping to run the team with efficiency and accuracy.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Motivating, coaching and supporting the Dry Goods team, ensuring that best practice policies and operational procedures are followed at all times
- Effectively ensuring that all departments are stocked throughout the evening and FIFO and stock rotation procedures are adhered to
- Ensure all team members receive an appropriate induction / orientation to the department and receive appropriate ongoing training support. Train the team members as required.
- Ensuring all food safety and health & safety standards are maintained in accordance to the relevant policies
- Working and liaising with the Operations team to ensure efficiency in processes and productivity of team
To succeed in this role you will need:
- Experience leading/managing a team
- Strong computer skills including Microsoft office suite
- Commanding leadership and coaching skills
- Extremely customer-focused outlook
- Excellent planning & organizing skills
- A Current General Managers Certificate, as well as a Forklift license, is highly desired!
