Despatch Operative

Porta Romana is a British company, based in Farnham, Surrey. Our brand is synonymous with luxury lighting and furniture, supplying many of the most prestigious hotel, yachts, and residential projects around the world.

The Porta Romana team is around 100 employees, based either at our head office in Farnham or at our London showroom. All our product development, casting, decorative finishing, assembly, and wiring work is undertaken in-house, and we also work with many other skilled artisans around the UK and beyond, to create pieces for our collection.

An exciting opportunity has arisen at Porta Romana within our Stores Team.

• What you’ll do_
• To work to a schedule meeting strict daily targets.
• Moving stock around the warehouse and regular (light) lifting
• Using various Courier labelling systems to prepare stock for despatch
• To cross reference all products immediately before packing
• To process delivery notes and despatch according to the information provided per individual order.
• Organisation of workspace and able to keep the warehouse tidy.
• To perform any other duties as requested
• What you’ll need:_
• Previous Warehouse experience would be an advantage
• Must be comfortable undertaking an active role e.g moving stock around the warehouse, and being on your feet most of the day
• An organised nature and keen attention to detail
• Basic computer skills are required
• Good communication skills and team player
• Ability to work under own initiative
• Ability to multitask

Pay: From £23,795.00 per year
