Role Description
The Procurement Manager will be responsible for supplier evaluation, contract negotiation, analytical skills, procurement, and contract management.
Key Responsibilities:
Procurement Plan Implementation:
- Develop and execute procurement plans and systems in line with the requirements for all substation projects.
- Ensure procurement processes comply with organizational standards and project specifications.
Material and Equipment Requirements:
- Collect and consolidate material and equipment requirements, including the preparation of procurement schedules.
- Coordinate with project teams to ensure all necessary specifications and requirements are captured accurately.
Vendor Coordination and Interface:
- Facilitate discussions and clarifications between suitable domestic and international vendors, clients, and consultants.
- Ensure clear and effective communication to address queries and obtain necessary information for procurement activities.
Approval for Vendors and Agencies:
- Obtain approvals for vendors not previously registered and other specialized agencies required for construction materials, supply items, and equipment.
- Maintain and update a database of approved vendors and agencies.
Negotiation:
- Lead negotiations with suppliers to secure the best prices and terms for materials and equipment.
- Establish favorable contract terms while maintaining quality and compliance with project requirements.
Technical Data and Purchase Orders:
- Coordinate with suppliers and the engineering team to approve technical data, drawings, and equipment specifications.
- Finalize purchase orders ensuring all technical and commercial aspects are accurately captured.
Logistics and Formalities:
- Arrange logistics for the delivery of materials and equipment, including handling all related formalities and documentation.
- Ensure timely and efficient transportation to project sites.
Expediting Deliveries:
- Work closely with the Project Controls Manager to expedite the delivery of materials, plants, and equipment as per the project schedule.
- Monitor and track deliveries to ensure alignment with project timelines and milestones.
Qualifications:
Engineering Graduate -Preferred.
