Job Summary
We are seeking a junior Cabinet Maker/Bench Joiner to join our team. As a Cabinet Maker, you will be responsible for working on projects all the way through the manufacturing stage. This is a hands-on role that requires proficiency in using woodworking machinery, power tools and hand tools. If you have a passion for furniture design and take pride in creating high-quality work, we would love to hear from you. Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret drawings and specifications to determine project requirements
- Use woodworking machinery and power tools safely and efficiently
- Install hardware such as hinges, handles, and drawer runners
- Prepare jobs for spray finishing and spray priming/painting
- Collaborate with other team members to complete projects on time and ensure all aspects are ready for delivery to site
- Installing furniture on-site along with other teams members and perhaps alone with enough training
Requirements:
- Proficient in joinery methods and woodworking processes
- Experience with power tools and hand tools
- Ability to fabricate and install wooden components accurately
- Capable of heavy lifting as necessary
- Experience with painting and finishing techniques
- Previous experience as a carpenter or cabinet maker is preferred
- Willingness to learn
- Attention to detail
Basic pay based on experience/ability, alongside company based performance bonuses. We will consider all levels of experience, including apprentice/traineeship type roles for this position.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: £12.00-£18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 24 - 40 per week
Work Location: Hybrid remote in Kingston upon Thames
