Gently but firmly get guests attention for boarding procedures & safety briefing (as it will allow you a firm grip on crowd control & safe journey throughout)
Conducts training to crew members in case of emergency situations
Ensure all equipments and machineries onboard are properly maintained - gearbox, generator, engine, AC and appliances
Main in charge of the engine room - cleanliness, orderliness and its function
Ensure compliance of operations, procedures, safety rules, maritime and government regulations
Execute Mandatory Safety briefing upon departure in each and every trip
Fill up all boat/captains checklists and Log books of trips with correct information without fail including
Log paper
- Provide proper pre
departure checklist for boat and shared purposes
Maintain and update all safety equipment’s onboard (monitor expired and follow up replacement)
Unfailingly check boat files and make sure its organized and registration are up to date
Observe weather and liaise with operations department office regarding safe operating conditions (throughout the day)
Daily mandatory inspection of the boat and notify Operations Supervisor and Maintenance for any defect of any equipment on the boat
Act accordingly upon any situation that may happen on your trip and communicate with manager for prompt resolution
Ensure enough water in the water tank and fuel (refuel only before or after trip and NOT during the trip)
Check the main engine and genset battery must be in normal voltage
Check the sound system, running lights, and all the navigational equipment’s are working properly
Monitor and check possible leaks from the hull, fresh water lines, gear box oil, engine oil, fuel, coolant in the engine
Always pay attention to the engine, bilge and fire alarm
Supervise crew in cleaning the boat interior and exterior and updates Ops Audit
Ensure crew are cleaning the boat in a proper way as to maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the boat
Ensure crew wash the boat in every after trip and keep the boat always prepared for any viewings and last-minute bookings/trips
Ensure enough boat supplies onboard for the day
Ensure boat is prepared and ready one hours before guest arrival
Make sure guests ID’ are checked, Damage Waiver Form/Terms and Conditions/Guest Verification are properly signed and filled up by guests
Ensure complete number of life jackets are available onboard and must be applied as per DMCA rules and regulations
Prepares and check safety equipment for Inspection purposes, able to provide accurate report for checklist
Responsible to secure the boat before ending the shift
Performs engine flushing by the end of the shift for outboard engines and engine cleaned without salt marks
Provide excellent service at all times and encourage guest to leave a good review by the end of the trip
