Your new role, what's involved?
- Support the development of the Asset Services Framework, along with associated strategies, objectives, plans, and the Asset Risk Register.
- Oversee the annual maintenance plan for asset monitoring activities.
- Assist in establishing best practice asset management standards tailored for specific services of the On-Line Condition Monitoring System.
- Review the performance of asset services systems, conduct monitoring, and generate reports.
- Manage the entire lifecycle of On-Line Monitoring Assets, including site-specific assets.
- Ensure the proper commissioning of monitoring devices and facilitate the integration of new devices in collaboration with the SCADA and telecom teams.
- Guarantee compliance with all cybersecurity best practices for equipment and devices associated with the On-Line Monitoring System.
- Contribute to the formulation of business and work plans to meet technical deliverables.
- Assist in the preparation of asset management plans for On-Line Monitoring assets, including site-specific equipment.
- Review and maintain the requirements for critical spare parts.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and innovations in asset monitoring.
- Provide input to the Asset Performance Management team to identify and anticipate reliability-related risks and current asset health risks that may negatively impact key asset operations.
- Collaborate with relevant departments to conduct commissioning and inspections of On-Line Monitoring Assets, including site assets.
We'd love to hear from you if you have:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Power Engineering or equivalent from a recognized university.
- Minimum of 6+ years of experience in project management, with a focus on asset performance management and condition monitoring in the power transmission or energy sector.
- Proven experience in implementing and managing OLCM systems for high-voltage transmission assets.
- Strong knowledge of condition monitoring technologies (e.g., thermal imaging, partial discharge detection, vibration analysis, and oil analysis).
- Familiarity with international asset management standards (e.g., ISO 55000), condition monitoring standards, and risk-based maintenance strategies.
- Experience with predictive maintenance methodologies and asset health management tools.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and provide actionable insights for asset management.
- Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multidisciplinary teams and coordinate with vendors and contractors.
- Strong leadership, communication, and reporting skills, with experience in presenting to senior management and stakeholders.
- Knowledge of Omani or GCC power transmission industry practices and regulations is an advantage.
