Mechanical Engineer (Port Equipment Maintenance)

Job Summary:
Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance on STS, RTG, and RMG cranes.
• Perform wire rope, trolley wheel, gantry wheel, and sheave replacements.
• Oversee long and short rail replacement and alignment.
• Read, interpret, and troubleshoot hydraulic system drawings.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical failures in port equipment.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and maintenance protocols.
• Collaborate with electrical engineers and technicians for integrated maintenance tasks.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and equipment conditions.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum of 3+ years of experience in port equipment maintenance (STS, RTG, RMG cranes).
• Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, including wire ropes, wheels, sheaves, and rail systems.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting hydraulic drawings.
• Familiarity with safety standards and maintenance best practices.
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with crane maintenance software or diagnostic tools.
• Certification in mechanical or hydraulic systems maintenance.
