Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and payroll.
- Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements and reports to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulations.
- Monitor and manage cash flow, budgets, and forecasting processes.
- Ensure compliance with local tax laws, financial regulations, and company policies.
- Lead month-end and year-end closing processes, including WIP (Work-in-Progress) reports and variance analysis.
- Assist in financial audits and coordinate with external auditors.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior accounting staff.
- Develop and implement financial policies, procedures, and controls to enhance efficiency and mitigate risks.
- Oversee financial operations specific to construction projects, including job costing, project budgeting, and cost tracking.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable, including progress billing, retention, and subcontractor payments.
- Monitor and reconcile construction-related expenses, including materials, labor, and equipment.
- Coordinate with project managers to ensure accurate financial reporting for each project phase.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA, CMA, or ACCA certification is a plus).
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in accounting, with at least 4 years in a senior role.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting standards, and local tax regulations.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Focus) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Experience:
- Accounting: 7 years (required)
