Drafting and Design:
Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare detailed MEP drawings, layouts, and schematics using AutoCAD or other relevant software.
  • Develop designs for HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection systems as per project requirements.
  • Update and revise drawings based on feedback from engineers, architects, and clients.

Collaboration and Coordination:

  • Work closely with project engineers and design teams to ensure accurate and timely delivery of drawings.
  • Coordinate MEP designs with architectural and structural drawings to avoid conflicts.
  • Liaise with contractors and on-site teams to resolve technical issues and ensure design accuracy.

Compliance and Standards:

  • Ensure all drawings adhere to industry standards, codes, and project specifications.
  • Incorporate local regulations and safety requirements into designs.

Documentation and Record-Keeping:

  • Maintain organized records of all drawings, revisions, and project documentation.
  • Provide support in preparing as-built drawings and O&M manuals upon project completion.

Technical Support:

  • Assist in preparing material take-offs and bill of quantities (BOQ) based on drawings.
  • Support the project team with technical queries related to MEP drawings.

Requirements:

  • Diploma or certification in Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing Engineering, or related field.
  • Proven experience as an MEP Draftsman in construction or engineering projects.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD; knowledge of Revit MEP is an advantage.
  • Strong understanding of MEP systems and building codes.
  • Ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in drafting.
  • Good communication and organizational skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with BIM processes and software.
  • Experience in large-scale commercial or iresidential projects.
  • Knowledge of project management tools and processes.
