Mechanical Technician (Port Equipment Maintenance)

Job Summary:
Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in preventive and corrective maintenance on STS, RTG, and RMG cranes.
• Perform wire rope, trolley wheel, gantry wheel, and sheave replacements.
• Assist in long and short rail replacement and alignment.
• Support the reading and interpretation of hydraulic drawings.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical failures under the guidance of senior engineers.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and maintenance protocols.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities.

Qualifications:

• Diploma or certification in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum of 3+ years of experience in port equipment maintenance (STS, RTG, RMG cranes).
• Hands-on experience with mechanical systems, including wire ropes, wheels, sheaves, and rail systems.
• Basic understanding of hydraulic systems and drawings.
• Familiarity with safety standards and maintenance best practices.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work in a team and follow instructions.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with crane maintenance tools and equipment.
• Certification in mechanical systems maintenance.
