Job Summary

Role Objectives

• Provide essential healthcare services to students and staff, attending to injuries and health-related issues.
• Ensure the safety and well-being of the school community by complying with national and local health laws.
• Promote overall wellness and preventive healthcare among students and staff.
• Educate students, parents, and faculty on maintaining proper hygiene and adopting healthy habits.
• Collaborate with parents, teachers, and school administrators on matters of student health and care.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer first aid, medication, monitor temperatures, dress wounds, and perform other healthcare procedures as required.
• Maintain and update student medical records, including vaccination histories and other health documentation.
• Develop and implement school health management protocols for both routine and emergency situations.
• Provide health education to students on maintaining good hygiene, including topics like the importance of handwashing and overall wellness.
• Assist in organizing health camps, immunization drives, and general wellness checks for students.
• Work with school administration to manage health-related policies and ensure they align with relevant health regulations.
• Serve as a point of contact for health emergencies and manage the care of students with chronic health conditions.
• Maintain confidentiality of student medical information and handle it in accordance with legal guidelines.

• Sound knowledge of national and local health regulations related to schools and child care.
• Ability to think critically and make decisions under pressure.
• Patience, active listening skills, and a compassionate attitude towards students.
• Strong foundation in various healthcare fields, including mental health awareness.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Nursing or a related healthcare field.
• Certification in First Aid and CPR.
• Previous experience in a school healthcare setting or with children is an advantage.
