Allocate service jobs to assigned technicians, monitor their performance and ensure that the work is carried out at the minimum cost in accordance with an agreed timetable/check sheet and with acceptable quality.

- Supervise the servicing and/or repair of customer's vehicles within the trade discipline(s) assigned.
- Liaise with Receptionists to predict type and volume of future workload and understand particular needs of customers, advice Receptionists of any problems with the work on customers' vehicles (control of non-conforming product - disposition of nonconforming product - corrective and preventive actions).
- Monitor carryover jobs and available hours based on bays and Technicians and inform Reception Supervisor for workshop loading.
- Monitor and report the performance of assigned team, individuals, facilities, equipment, tools and systems to Service Garage Manager.
- Inspect and carry out inspection and tests for compliance with specified standards on service or repair work and customers vehicles (in-process inspection and customer supplied product) e.g. inspection may reveal that customer's vehicle does not comply with national standards for road worth.
- Report, record and return any incorrect or defective parts to Parts Group's Stores and external suppliers (nonconforming product).
- Advise Service Garage Manager of Warranty Work encountered, advice Job Controller and Receptionist of additional work encountered.
- Advise Service Advisor for any amendment in PDT if required as per workshop load and technician availability.
- Inspect work returned by the Quality Controller after road test, investigate causes and inform technicians for the corrective action to be applied in vehicles. Check equipment, tools or processes as necessary (corrective and preventive action) and record actions taken on Job Card.
- Resolve escalated technical issues.
- Ensure that Safety meetings are conducted regularly.

- People Management:
- Assign duties and examine work for accuracy, neatness, and compliance to policies and procedures.
- Check employee attendance and report absence and attendance exceptions, prepare annual leave plan for employees and overtime sheets on SAP for management approval.
- Explain and advise staff on Group policy and quality standards and ensure adherence to health and safety standards.
- Provide on the job training and coaching to staff and provide information and necessary material to staff to carry out the jobs.
- Receive grievances raised by subordinates and promptly escalate such grievances to management.
- Prepare periodic and ad hoc reports and presentations.
- Document and maintain records of activities and process workflows on internal communication portals.
- Perform other duties as requested by management.

- 1 year in previous grade
