Metis Books & Café ist ein unabhängiges Literaturcafé im Herzen Berlins, in dem der Duft von Kaffee auf den Zauber von Büchern trifft. Wir suchen einen erfahrenen Barista (m/w/d), der*die unser kleines, engagiertes Team bereichert. Wenn du gerne mit Menschen arbeitest, Bücher liebst und eine einladende Atmosphäre schätzt, bist du bei uns genau richtig!

Was du mitbringen solltest:

• Fundierte Erfahrung in der Zubereitung von Specialty Coffee (Espresso einstellen, Latte Art, manuelle Brühmethoden)
• Kreativität und Interesse an der Entwicklung von seasonal drinks
• Freundliches Auftreten und Freude am Gästekontakt
• Hohe Sorgfalt, Sauberkeit und Liebe zum Detail
• Teamfähigkeit und Belastbarkeit
• Gute Englischkenntnisse, Deutsch ist ein Plus

Deine Aufgaben:

• Zubereitung von hochwertigen Espresso
• und Filterkaffeegetränken
• Entwicklung und Zubereitung von saisonalen Getränken
• Pflege und Sauberkeit des Barbereichs
• Austausch mit unseren Gästen und Beitrag zur gemütlichen Atmosphäre unseres Café-Buchladens

Are you passionate about specialty coffee and creating meaningful moments around a cup?

Metis Books & Café is an independent bookstore and specialty coffee shop in the heart of Berlin. We are currently looking for an experienced barista to join our small and friendly team.

What we’re looking for:

• Proven experience in specialty coffee preparation (dialing in, latte art, espresso theory, manual brews)
• Familiarity with seasonal drinks and a creative approach to recipes
• A warm and welcoming attitude toward customers
• Attention to detail, cleanliness, and consistency
• Ability to work in a team and under pressure
• Fluent in English; German is a plus

Your tasks will include:

• Preparing high-quality espresso-based and filter coffee drinks
• Creating and serving seasonal beverages
• Maintaining the bar and ensuring cleanliness
• Engaging with our customers and contributing to the cozy atmosphere of the café-bookstore
