HSE Trainer
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Design, develop, and deliver engaging HSE training programs tailored to various employee levels and operational needs.
- Assess training needs and create training materials, presentations, and manuals/participant assessments.
- Conduct training sessions, workshops, and seminars on HSE regulations, practices, and procedures considering KPC (oil sector) requirements.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs through assessments, feedback, and performance metrics.
- Work closely with the Training Manager and other departments to align training programs with organizational goals.
- To comply with all the QHSSE rules/regulations of BV as well as Client.
- Provides input to the Training Strategy and the development of specific training development plans.
DESIRED QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree in occupational health and safety, OR if Diploma, minimum 5 to 6 years of Health & Safety experience preferably within the construction, heavy industrial or Infrastructure sector.
- Minimum of 5-10 years of experience in HSE training or related roles.
- Proven track record in developing and delivering effective training programs.
CERTIFICATIONS:
- Diploma in safety (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH, OSHA) are preferred.
- Train-the-trainer certification is must.
- First Aid, Fire Safety, or other relevant industry-recognized certifications
DESIRED SKILLS
- Strong Knowledge of HSE Standards & Regulations - local and international safety standards (e.g. OSHA, ISO, NEBOSH, IOSH).
- Training & Presentation Skills.
- Communication Skills - Excellent verbal and written communication (English and Arabic).
- Assessment & Evaluation - skills to assess trainee performance and adjust training based on feedback and outcomes.
AUTHORITIES
- Authority for the Stop Work, if the situation is Unsafe.
- Authority to approve training materials and content in line with compliance requirements.
