Microbiologist

Key Responsibilities:

• To be able to develop and validate the test methods and techniques.
• To perform routine microbiology and nucleic acid analysis.
• To generate, analyse, and interpret microbiological data and reports into LIMS.
• To ensure timeliness and accuracy to meet turnaround time and that the daily test result is produced accurately and precisely.
• Ensure compliance to testing and QA/QC procedures.
• Effective implementation and maintenance of MS ISO/IEC 17025.
• Ensure all analytical equipment, apparatus etc are to be appropriately maintained and calibrated as per the required schedule.
• Maintain housekeeping, GLP and follow safety procedures in the lab.
• Any other related ad-hoc assignment as assigned by the Management.

Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor’s in Microbiology, or related discipline.
- Certification:
Preferably a Certified Microbiologist

(registered under MJMM)

• Experience:
  1-2 years in in the related field is required for this position.
• Must be honest, co-operative, able to communicate effectively with good human relation skill, team player, independent.
• Must demonstrate quality in his/her work i.e. accurate, thorough and effective.
• Demonstrated strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Multi-tasking and positive working attitude.
• Must have the initiative and ability to work independently with minimum supervision.
