Environment, Health & Safety Intern

1. Safety Inspections & Monitoring

  • Support routine site inspections for hazards (electrical panels, fire extinguishers, emergency exits, etc.).
  • Assist in conducting safety walkthroughs and housekeeping checks.
  • Report and follow up on unsafe acts/conditions with supervisors.

2. Administrative & Documentation Support

  • Assist in preparing and updating HIRARC, SDS (Safety Data Sheets), and JSA (Job Safety Analysis).
  • Maintain EHS files and records (e.g. training records, inspection reports, audit findings).
  • Assist in documentation for DOSH, DOE, and BOMBA compliance reports.

3. Incident & Emergency Support

  • Help update emergency response plans, evacuation maps, and first aid inventories.
  • Assist during emergency.

4. Environmental Compliance
- Help monitor and log waste management activities (e.g. scheduled waste labeling, SW registration).

5. Project Assistance

  • Support risk assessments for ongoing projects (e.g., solar panel maintenance, confined space, LOTO).
  • Assist in preparing permit-to-work (PTW) documentation and checklists.
  • Monitor contractor compliance to site safety rules.

6. Other Support Duties

  • Attend EHS meetings and take minutes when required.
  • Assist in preparing monthly safety reports or EHS dashboards.
  • Any other EHS related task assigned by the supervisor.

Job Types: Full-time, Internship
Contract length: 2-6 months

Pay: RM1,200.00 - RM1,420.00 per month
