Key Responsibilities
- Client Assessment & Customization:
- Conduct nutrition assessments for medical tourists based on their treatment type, health status, cultural background, and dietary preferences.
- Collaborate with doctors, nurses, and therapists to align dietary plans with medical needs.
Treatment-Specific Nutrition Planning:
Develop meal plans for pre
- and post-surgery patients, chronic illness management, rehabilitation, and wellness retreats.
- Modify diets for specific conditions (e.g., kidney disease, cancer recovery, cardiovascular health).
Cultural & Hospitality Integration:
Design menus that incorporate local cuisine while meeting clients’ health restrictions.
- Work closely with chefs and kitchen staff in hotels, resorts, or healthcare facilities to ensure safe food preparation.
Education & Support:
Educate patients and families on nutrition principles for faster recovery and long-term health.
- Provide take-home dietary plans for clients returning to their home country.
Monitoring & Follow-up:
Track patient progress during their stay and coordinate remote follow-up consultations after departure.
- Adjust plans based on recovery milestones and patient feedback.
Compliance & Quality Assurance:
Ensure food safety and adherence to international dietary standards.
- Maintain accurate records for client files and medical tourism reporting.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, or related field.
- Professional certification in nutrition or dietetics (preferred).
- Experience in hospital, rehabilitation, or wellness settings, ideally with international clients.
- Knowledge of therapeutic diets and post-treatment nutrition.
