Job Summary
Responsibilities
- Walk dogs of various breeds and sizes, adhering to scheduled appointments and routes
- Ensure the safety of dogs during walks, managing behaviour and preventing escapes or injuries
- Provide basic companionship and reassurance to dogs during outings
- Maintain cleanliness by cleaning up after dogs using appropriate equipment and disposal methods
- Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding their pets’ behaviour, health, or any concerns
- Follow specific care instructions provided by clients, including medication or special needs requirements
Experience
- Previous experience in animal care, veterinary assistance, or dog walking is preferred but not essential; training will be provided
- Knowledge of dog behaviour and handling techniques is advantageous
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate professionally with pet owners
- Passion for animals and a responsible attitude towards their safety and well-being
