Job Title: Modern Trade Pre-Seller
Department: Sales & Marketing
Reports to: Sales Supervisor/ Sales Manager
Job Summary
The Modern Trade Pre-Seller is responsible for generating orders from assigned modern trade
outlets by ensuring proper product availability, correct ordering, and effective execution of sales
and promotional plans. The role focuses on maintaining strong store relationships, monitoring
stock levels, and supporting the achievement of sales targets.
Key Responsibilities
Order Generation & Sales Execution
- Visit assigned modern trade outlets as per the approved route plan.
- Generate daily orders based on stock levels, sales trends, and promotional plans.
- Ensure accurate order taking and timely submission through approved sales systems.
Store Relationship Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with store supervisors, department heads, and
buyers at store level.
- Address store-level concerns related to pricing, availability, and promotions.
- Ensure customer satisfaction through consistent service and follow-ups.
Stock & Availability Management
- Monitor shelf stock, backroom inventory, and expiry dates to avoid out-of-stock and
near-expiry issues.
- Ensure correct SKU assortment and recommended stock levels for biscuit products.
- Coordinate with delivery and warehouse teams to ensure timely replenishment.
Merchandising & In-Store Execution
- Ensure proper shelf placement, facing, and planogram compliance.
- Support execution of promotions, price-offs, displays, and new product launches.
- Ensure promotional materials are properly displayed and maintained.
Market Intelligence & Reporting
- Track competitor pricing, promotions, and new product introductions.
- Submit daily sales, stock, and activity reports to the Sales Supervisor.
- Provide feedback on market trends, customer needs, and execution challenges.
Qualifications & Experience
- Diploma or bachelor’s degree
- 3-5 years of FMCG sales experience, preferably in modern trade or food products.
- Experience in GCC biscuit or food manufacturing industry is a must
- Valid GCC driving license.
Skills & Competencies
- Good communication and interpersonal skills. (Speak and understand English preferred)
- Basic negotiation and selling skills
- Good understanding of FMCG and modern trade operations
- Attention to detail, especially in stock and expiry management
- Ability to work independently in the field
- Knowledge of MS Excel.
Salary will be negotiable.
