Hotel Night Porter

Wentbridge House Hotel-Pontefract, United Kingdom

£13.00 per hour + A share of Tronc (gratuities).

We are seeking a reliable and personable Night Porter to provide a reassuring overnight presence at our country house hotel in Wentbridge - just 10 minutes from Pontefract.

The role involves welcoming late arrivals, carrying out regular walk rounds, maintaining the presentation of public areas, completing light cleaning tasks, and preparing the hotel for the following day.

This vacancy is available on either a casual basis, or contracted to a minimum of 2 shifts per week - both options will include working some weekends.

This is a key position within the hotel team and you must be trustworthy, presentable, have excellent standards and be able to work individually as well as part of a team. You must be self-motivated with a can do attitude, a passion for giving great service and able to deal with any guest needs and concerns.

As our Night Porter, you'll start your working evening at 10.45pm during the week or 11.45pm on a weekend, working through to 7.15am or 8.15am respectively. That means you can take the children to school, pick them up, and have some quality family/you time in the evening before work.

Our rotas are produced 4 weeks in advance, so there's plenty of time for you to make sure you can plan your life and time around work!

In return, we offer a fantastic package of benefits to include:

  • A competitive rate of pay;
  • A share of Tronc (Gratuities);
  • WTD Pay;
  • Wagestream - an app to access your wages before pay day;
  • Access to our Westfield reward and recognition platform with thousands of savings with high street retailers;
  • Access to round-the-clock GP services;
  • Meals on duty;
  • Free on-site parking;
  • Eligible team members will benefit from a Now:Pensions scheme;
