Role Summary
The Chief Operating Officer (COO) is responsible for overseeing and optimizing the day-to-day operations of MedicMesir across student recruitment, admissions processing, partner university coordination, compliance, and internal teams.
This role translates strategy into execution—ensuring scalable systems, strong governance, operational excellence, and consistent student experience from enquiry to enrolment and beyond.
Key Responsibilities1. Operations & Execution
- Lead and manage all operational functions including:
- Student recruitment operations
- Admissions & documentation processing
- Visa, regulatory, and compliance workflows
- Partner university coordination (Egypt & international)
- Ensure smooth end-to-end student journey from enquiry → offer → enrolment → departure.
- Design, implement, and continuously improve SOPs across all departments.
- Strategy Implementation
- Translate CEO and Board strategies into clear operational plans, KPIs, and execution timelines.
- Drive organisational scalability to support increasing student intakes across multiple universities and countries.
Identify operational risks and develop mitigation plans.
Team Leadership & Performance
- Lead, coach, and manage heads of departments including:
- Student Recruitment
- Admissions & Documentation
- Marketing Operations
- Student Support
- Establish performance metrics, review cycles, and accountability frameworks.
- Build a strong culture of professionalism, integrity, and student-first mindset.
- Process, Systems & Technology
- Oversee implementation and optimisation of CRM, student management systems, and internal dashboards.
- Improve data visibility for conversion rates, intake forecasting, and operational efficiency.
Ensure proper documentation control and data accuracy.
Compliance & Governance
- Ensure full compliance with:
- Malaysian education regulations
- MMA / MDC / relevant medical councils (where applicable)
- University partner requirements
- Oversee audit readiness, contract management, and internal controls.
- Maintain high ethical standards in student recruitment and counselling.
- Partner & Stakeholder Management
- Manage operational relationships with:
- Egyptian universities and faculties
- International agents and partners
- Regulatory bodies and service providers
- Support CEO in strategic negotiations and partnership expansion.
- Financial & Operational Efficiency
- Work closely with Finance to:
- Monitor operational budgets
- Improve cost efficiency
- Support revenue scalability
- Track intake targets, conversion rates, and operational margins.

Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Management, Education, Healthcare Management, or related field
- Master’s degree (MBA or equivalent) is an advantage
- Minimum 8-12 years of experience in operations leadership
- Prior experience in education consultancy, student recruitment, healthcare education, or international education is highly preferred

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: RM10,000.00 - RM15,000.00 per month
